Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is a survival horror game for the Nintendo DS, developed and published by Capcom. It is a remake of the original Resident Evil (1996) with updated controls, touchscreen functionality, multiplayer modes and DS exclusive game-play elements. It was released in 2006 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise.
Players select to play as Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, members of the elite S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, who are dispatched to investigate a series of mysterious murders in the Arklay Mountains. Their mission quickly becomes a nightmare when they are trapped inside a sinister mansion filled with zombies, mutated creatures, deadly traps and dark secrets.
The game retains the classic survival horror experience of limited ammunition, inventory management, puzzle-solving and tense exploration but adds in a Rebirth Mode which utilises the Nintendo DS touchscreen and microphone for unique gameplay mechanics.

Story
Following a string of brutal murders near Raccoon City, the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team is dispatched to investigate the mysterious incidents. After losing contact with Bravo Team, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker and their teammates arrive in the dangerous Arklay Mountains.
The team runs from terrifying zombie dogs, taking shelter in an abandoned mansion. But soon they find out that the mansion is the location of gruesome biological experiments, run by the Umbrella Corporation.
As Chris or Jill explores the mansion, they uncover hidden laboratories, secret passages, and deadly creatures while searching for surviving teammates. The deeper they venture, the closer they come to discovering Umbrella’s gruesome experiments and the evil behind the outbreak.
