The House of the Dead is a classic horror rail-shooter, originally built for arcades and then ported to the Sega Saturn. Players assume the roles of agents Thomas Rogan and G as they battle their way through a zombie-infested research facility. Dr. Curien’s experiments to reanimate the dead have turned his research base into a zombie-infested nightmare.
Special Agents Thomas Rogan and G enter the facility to stop Curien and rescue the people being held inside. On the way they fight hordes of zombies and dangerous experiment-created creatures.
Gameplay
The House of the Dead is a rail shooter, meaning the characters run on predetermined rails while players concentrate on aiming and firing at enemies.
Players have to keep their wits about them, conserve ammo, save civilians and kill big creatures. Depending on what the player does during the game, routes can be taken.
