DuckTales is a classic NES action-platformer developed by Capcom, and based on the popular animated series from Disney. Players take on the role of Scrooge McDuck as he journeys around different parts of the world in search of precious treasures. The game is a combination of traditional side-scrolling platforming and unique mechanics, most notably Scrooge's famous pogo jump.
Exploring locations such as the Amazon, Transylvania, the African Mines, the Himalayas and the Moon throughout the adventure. Each area has enemies, obstacles, hidden treasure and a tough boss. Scrooge’s cane is a vital tool in both combat and exploration, allowing him to attack enemies, break objects, and bounce around the environment.

Scrooge McDuck is off on a worldwide treasure hunt to find legendary riches and become even richer. His adventure leads to five dangerous places on the planet, where he has to deal with enemies and environmental dangers, while searching for precious treasures.
Scrooge will wield his trusty cane to fight off enemies and navigate tricky areas. And after travelling through the different places and looting the treasures, he finally meets the last trials before his final fortune.
While the story of the game is simple, it gets the adventurous and humorous spirit of the original DuckTales animated series just right.
Gameplay
DuckTales is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that focuses on exploration, platforming, combat and collecting treasure.
Scrooge's most valuable skill is his pogo jump which allows him to bounce on enemies and some objects instead of just jumping over them. This ability is also helpful when dealing with treacherous terrain and higher platforms.
Players also have Scrooge’s cane as a weapon to attack enemies and interact with objects. Each level has different hazards and enemies and players learn how to make best use of Scrooge’s abilities.
