Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin – One of the best action-adventure games ever released for the Nintendo DS. The story is set in 1944, during the turmoil of World War II. As evil and pain spread across the world, dark powers utilise this evil energy to bring back Dracula's Castle again. But there is a difference—Dracula himself has not yet returned.
Jonathan Morris, heir to the legendary Vampire Killer whip, teams up with the talented magician Charlotte Aulin. Together they investigate mysterious magical paintings, portals to dangerous worlds connected to Dracula's Castle. But in the process they find out the real puppet master pulling the strings behind the curtain.
Gameplay
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin marries old-school side-scrolling action with RPG-style progression and exploration.
Players can explore Dracula’s Castle at their leisure and uncover new abilities which let them access new areas. Each magical painting opens up a new world of unique enemies, puzzles, treasures and bosses.
As the experience points increase the level of the character will increase and that will improve the health, magic and combat effectiveness. When players have completed the main story, they can also engage in optional quests, search for secret rooms, gather rare gear, and access bonus game modes.
