Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 is a 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works and Cavia, and published by Atari (North America) and Bandai (Japan) for the Nintendo DS. It was released in 2005, and was a sequel to the Game Boy Advance game Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors. The game features fast-paced combat, spectacular energy attacks and an original storyline exploring alternate events from the Dragon Ball Z universe.
Players will be able to battle with over 30 playable characters including legendary warriors such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu, Broly, Trunks and many more. Each fighter has their own special attacks, transformations and Ultimate Moves, all inspired by the anime series.
The game introduces an original story centered around the Majin Buu Saga, while also including alternate timelines and "what-if" scenarios that allow players to experience unique battles and endings not seen in the anime. In addition to Story Mode, players can enjoy Versus Mode, Challenge Mode, Survival Mode, and local multiplayer battles.

Story
The story begins during the Majin Buu Saga, when the greatest heroes of earth face yet another great threat, one that could destroy the universe itself. As Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and their allies battle Majin Buu and other dangerous enemies, the game also explores original storylines that diverge from the anime.
Players unlock alternate scenarios where different characters become Earth's strongest defenders, leading to unique battles and endings. Villains may achieve unexpected victories, while heroes gain opportunities to change history through powerful transformations and unlikely alliances.
These " what-if " stories give the game replay value and offer Dragon Ball fans new adventures outside the original series .
Gameplay
Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 features fast-paced 2D aerial combat where players fight across large battlefields using melee attacks, energy blasts, special techniques, and devastating Ultimate Moves. Characters can fly freely, dash across the screen, launch combos, and unleash iconic attacks such as the Kamehameha, Final Flash, Special Beam Cannon, and Big Bang Attack.
Each fighter is unique in their strengths such as movement speed, combo style, and transformation powers. Furthermore, it is important to manage your energy and time well to beat tougher opponents and get through tough boss fights.
Aside from the main story there’s plenty of replayability options with multiple single player modes, unlockable content and local co-op multiplayer.
