Sonic Wings 2 is a traditional vertical scrolling shoot-em-up from Video System, and was released for the Neo Geo in 1994. Aero Fighters 2 (known as Sonic Wings 2 in North America) is a fast-paced arcade shooter, and sequel to the original Sonic Wings. Players pick from a variety of pilots and aircraft, each with different weapons and special abilities. The game is a mix of fast movement, enemy formations, powerful bosses and constant projectile heavy action.

A new danger has come into the world and the pilots of the Sonic Wings are again called to arms. You are an elite pilot and aircraft and are fighting across enemy forces in different locations.
Although the story is told through short character interactions and mission sequences, the focus is still on defeating enemies and stopping the threat that is coming.
Gameplay
In Sonic Wings 2, a vertical scrolling shooter, you pilot an aircraft as it travels through levels scrolling with enemy planes, ground targets, projectiles, and huge bosses.
Different aircraft have different firing patterns and special weapons. Players can grab power-ups to upgrade their main weapon and can use bombs or special attacks to get out of dangerous situations.
