Story

After Doctor Eggman is defeated, Knuckles goes missing and the Chaos Emeralds are stolen. Sonic starts to look into these events and learns of a new threat from another dimension. Along the way, Sonic meets up with his friends and encounters Shade the Echidna, a mysterious character linked to the Nocturnus clan. The team must discover the fate of the invasion and stop Ix before his plans destroy their world.

Gameplay

Sonic Chronicles uses turn-based combat instead of the standard real-time Sonic platforming. You can choose a party of four characters from a bigger list that includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Rouge. Each Character has different skills to explore and fight. POW moves are special attacks that use touchscreen actions that require accurate tapping or dragging. Timing these actions appropriately will improve your attacks in battles. You can explore different areas, solve puzzles unique to each character, collect rings, and find Chao that grant you handy abilities. There are over 20 areas to explore too, mixing classic Sonic locations with new environments.
