Pokémon – LeafGreen Version is a classic role-playing game, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. It is a remake of the original Pokémon Green Version, expanded to bring the classic Pokémon adventure to a new generation with improved graphics, updated mechanics and additional features.
In Pokémon – LeafGreen you play as a Pokémon Trainer, exploring the Kanto region, catching wild Pokémon, battling other Trainers and collecting Gym Badges. The main goal is to become the Pokémon Champion by beating the Elite Four and filling out the Pokédex.

The adventure starts in Pallet Town, where the player receives their first Pokémon from Professor Oak. Players can choose between Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle to start their journey through the Kanto region.
Players battle against eight Pokémon Gym Leaders to earn badges and qualify for the Pokémon League throughout the adventure. They meet their rival who is always challenging them to become a stronger trainer along the way.
Another important part of the story is Team Rocket, a criminal organisation that uses Pokémon for its own purposes. Players must explore towns, caves, forests and more throughout Kanto, putting a stop to Team Rocket’s activities.
The journey culminates with players taking on the Elite Four and the Pokémon Champion. You can also explore the Sevii Islands outside the story and find new places, side quests and Pokémon.
Gameplay
Pokémon LeafGreen is a classic turn-based RPG experience that revolves around catching, training and battling Pokémon. Players explore the world from a top-down view, interact with characters, find hidden items and complete a series of quests.
One of the main features is the Pokémon catching system. In the games, wild Pokémon appear in tall grass, caves and other places, and players can weaken and catch them in battle with Poké Balls.
"Battles need strategy, not quick reflexes." Each Pokémon has its own types, moves, strengths and weaknesses. The right Pokémon and attacks can really turn the tide when battling Gym Leaders and the toughest enemies.
As Pokémon earn experience, they level up and gain new moves. Many Pokémon can evolve into more powerful versions of themselves, making them more capable and changing their appearance.
