In Need for Speed: Underground 2, you enter the world of illegal street racing in which reputation is earned through speed, skill and style. You start off with a basic car, and compete against increasingly talented opponents in underground events, building your reputation and becoming the best racer in the city. More wins mean more attention from sponsors, better cars, more powerful upgrades and flashy visual mods. Every win gets you nearer to ruling the underground racing scene, and showing you're the quickest driver on the streets.

Gameplay

Need for Speed Underground 2 combines the best of arcade racing with a tonne of vehicle customisation. Winning races earns money that players can use to upgrade their engines, add turbochargers and nitrous systems, improve suspension, buy tyres and apply cosmetic mods. Each race type is a challenge in itself. Circuit races are endurance races, Sprint races are about speed between checkpoints, Drift events reward controlled slides, Drag races are about perfect gear shifts, and Street X races are about precision on tight tracks. As you work your way through Career Mode the opposition will get tougher and the tracks more demanding so you’ll need to keep improving your driving and the performance of your car.
