Kingdom Hearts: Re-coded is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. It is a side story in the popular Kingdom Hearts series, a remake of the mobile game Kingdom Hearts coded. It was released in 2010.
The game focuses on Data Sora, a digital incarnation of the famous Keyblade wielder, as he explores a virtual recreation of Jiminy Cricket’s journal, looking for a clue behind a strange message hidden within its pages. Players travel through familiar Disney worlds, battle Heartless, solve puzzles and upgrade Sora using a unique system based on computer data.
Kingdom Hearts: Re-coded gives Nintendo DS owners a portable adventure that mixes fast-paced action combat, platforming, customisable abilities, and a strong link to the overall Kingdom Hearts story.

Story
Following the events of Kingdom Hearts II , Jiminy Cricket finds a strange message inside his journal that states:
And when you return to end it, their pain will heal.
King Mickey and his friends are unable to decipher the message and so scan the journal to see what it holds. They find in the virtual world that the journal has been corrupted by mysterious bugs.
Fix the Data World is a digital version of SORA. His name is Data Sora, and he must journey through the re-created Disney Worlds, defeat the Heartless, squash bugs and learn the truth behind the hidden message.
As it progresses, Data Sora discovers big secrets about the real Sora and the future of the Kingdom Hearts universe.
