Story
The story begins with Cecil Harvey, captain of the Red Wings air fleet, obeying questionable orders from the King of Baron. Cecil is troubled by the kingdom’s aggression, and when he questions the king’s motives he is sacked. He is sent on a mission with his loyal friend Kain Highwind that will change his life for ever.
As Cecil travels from kingdom to kingdom, ancient ruins to underground worlds to the moon, he discovers a conspiracy involving powerful crystals and an ancient evil seeking to destroy humanity. Along the journey, he forms friendships with warriors, mages, engineers, and royalty who unite against the growing darkness.

Gameplay
Final Fantasy IV features classic turn-based RPG gameplay with the innovative Active Time Battle (ATB) system, where each character acts when their battle gauge fills instead of waiting for fixed turns. This results in fast-paced, strategic combat that rewards quick thinking.
