Final Fantasy III is a Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) developed by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS port, released in 2010, is a full 3D remake of the original, with improved graphics, fully-realized characters, better gameplay mechanics and cinematic cutscenes. Released in 2006 in Japan and 2007 worldwide, it brought a new generation of players to one of the most influential RPGs in the history of gaming.
The game sees you take on the roles of the four young heroes known as the Warriors of Light, who are summoned by the Crystal of Light to restore balance to the world as darkness is spreading. Explore vast kingdoms, mysterious dungeons, ancient ruins and floating continents fighting fierce monsters and finding legendary treasures on your adventure.

Story
The story begins when four orphaned children find the Crystal of Light, giving them the power of becoming the legendary Warriors of Light. Darkness begins to consume the floating continent and the lands below and the world is in chaos.
Then the heroes are off on a grand adventure to restore the balance by defeating mighty foes, awakening ancient crystals and stopping the evil sorcerer Xande whose deeds threaten to wipe out the world itself.
Their adventure takes them to kings, airships, magical creatures and ancient civilisations, secrets about the forces of light and darkness. Their quest ultimately leads to a battle that will determine the fate of the entire world.
