Assassin's Creed : Altair's Chronicles is a Nintendo DS exclusive action adventure game. It’s a prequel to the original Assassin’s Creed, and it tells the early adventures of Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, one of the most legendary Assassins in the franchise. The game takes players back to the year 1190 during the Third Crusade, where Altaïr must uncover the secrets of an ancient artifact known as the Chalice while battling the dangerous Templar Order.
Unlike the console versions, Altair’s Chronicles features a unique top-down perspective combined with 3D environments, stealth mechanics, platforming challenges, and fast-paced combat designed specifically for the Nintendo DS hardware. Story
The story is set before the events of the first Assassin’s Creed game. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a skilled but arrogant Assassin, is sent on a mission to recover a mysterious artifact called the Chalice, an object believed to have incredible power.
During his journey, Altaïr travels across different locations, including Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre, searching for clues about the artifact. Along the way, he faces members of the Templar Order who are also seeking the Chalice for their own purposes.
As Altaïr progresses, he learns more about the conflict between Assassins and Templars while proving himself as a true member of the Brotherhood. The story explores Altaïr’s early years and shows how he developed into the legendary Assassin known throughout history.
Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles combines stealth, combat, exploration and puzzle-solving. The game is played from a third-person top-down perspective and allows the player to explore highly detailed environments and complete missions.
