Before he was the full God of War, Kratos worked for the gods of Olympus and did their bidding. But he is still haunted by memories of his terrible past. Darkness encroaches upon the mortal and divine worlds, and Kratos is sent on a perilous quest. Eventually his journey takes him through the Underworld and other mythological places, where he meets powerful gods, monsters and enemies. As the story goes on Kratos will need to make hard decisions while dealing with the memories and consequences of his past.
